Author Interest Form

Thank you so much for your interest in stocking your titles at Woven Words!

We are always happy to consider new books for our shelves, especially from indie and local authors. However, filling out this form does not guarantee that your book will be shelved. We are a small store and have limited space, so we have to be selective. Please know we thoughtfully and intentionally review each request, and we value your work as an author.

Please note the following requirements before proceeding:

1. In order for your book to be considered for our shelves, it is preferred that it be available through Ingram (if not a major publishing house), as this is where the majority of our purchasing is done. We are unable to purchase our stock from Amazon directly, but are willing to work with authors who sell their titles directly for wholesale through Ingram, and we also have consignment options available.
   1. Consignment terms: 60/40 split in author’s favor. We agree to carry your book for 3 months. The sales volume will determine if the book will remain in inventory after the trial period. We will monitor sales and reorder as necessary. If we feel we have excess inventory or if sales decline, we’ll be in touch to ask you to stop by to pick up your items (or pay for return shipping). We will mail you payment or initiate a bank transfer quarterly for items sold. Checks will be processed by the 15th of the month following the end of the quarter (April, July, October, and January).
2. Please do not submit a form if your book is available for free online. Our shop can only continue to exist if we’re able to sell books, so we are unlikely to add books that can be found elsewhere for free. This stipulation does not apply to titles in the Kindle Unlimited program.
3. We will not, under any circumstances, stock books that were written by or with the use of AI. This includes using generative AI for cover images.
   Additionally, we ask for your patience as we are a small team. We are working through our requests as quickly as possible.
